FluvioMorph — River Morphology Atlas

Run 27+ published methods for river classification and prediction at once — and be told honestly when they disagree. Everything computes in your browser; your data never leaves your device.

Live demo above: the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon — thalweg, bend radius and wavelength extracted from the 3D surface in your browser. This is the kind of measurement the Atlas performs.

What it does

Two input modes

Enter hydraulics manually (Q, slope, D50, banks…) or upload HEC-RAS output — text Profile table for every version, HDF5 for v5/6.

Automatic reach segmentation

ST:REAM stream-power balance splits the river into homogeneous reaches, each classified independently.

Agreement dashboard

Methods vote; you see the votes — and the disagreements — instead of a single false certainty.

Validity screening

When an input leaves a method’s calibrated domain — including arid/wadi limits — the result carries a warning.

Interactive stability diagrams

Your river plotted live on Kleinhans–van den Berg and slope–discharge spaces.

Print-ready reporting

A clean morphology report straight from the browser.

Status: live, and still growing

Both modes work today. Known limits are stated openly: a few constants are flagged [CHECK] pending source cross-verification; HDF5 reading has not yet been validated against a real .p##.hdf file (the text Profile path is fully tested on real project data); PDF export arrives in a later phase.
